ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS We have for many years had fantastic Sunday Lunches when visiting family. We haven’t been here for some time always finding the food superb. However things have changed, we thought it odd why there was loads of space and were served straight away. We now know that this was a telling tale. The food was abysmally awful. The roast pork was tasteless, fatty and tough. The roast beef was the same and certainly would have provided a good patch to mend leather shoes. There was a dried up excuse for stuffing. Crackling had the consistency of soft jelly. The roast potatoes were bland and rubbery. The meal was cold. The cost was excessive, you do not mind paying for something which is enjoyable, this was inedible. This now marks the end of an era for my family visiting Tubbys which for sentimental reasons is very sad. It also means that our trade to the garden centre will be passed by.

    Great place to meet for a coffee

       

    As mentioned by a previous reviewer, this is a really useful place to come with children. Good meals and good value, with plenty of space.

    I often meet friends here for a cup of coffee and would recommend it to anyone.

    Great Food and Good Value

       

    My son and I love going to Tubby's for lunch. They do big portions so we share a meal and he likes playing with the train set in the family area. Lots of parking and staff always very friendly. It can get busy but theres always a spare table and the queues move fast.

    Garden Centre Cafe

       

    This is a great place to go with children as there's plenty of space to park and room to move around. They have lots of choice on the simple menu and it's in a pretty spot next to the garden centre. Good value and makes a nice pit stop when going to potter about the garden centre.
