The manager and his staff are always welcoming and efficient; without any show of over-attentiveness they create a pleasant atmosphere at The Edgemoor Inn. The furniture and decor are simple and unobtrusive. The menu is varied enough to suit many tastes, and the excellent food is presented well, but not ostentatiously or pretentiously. Given all this, the prices are very reasonable. The views from the huge windows are a bonus. If you like to be critical, this isn't the place for you, as everything is as it should be, and we have always gone away satisfied with our evening.

The Edgemoor Inn is in the village of Edge, between Stroud and Gloucester overlooking the beautiful, picturesque Painswick Valley. The late 19th century Inn, constructed from Cotswold stone, has picture windows and is well known for its pretty panoramic views. Our property boasts an extensive terraced patio overlooking Painswick & surrounding countryside.

Had a fantastic meal at Edgemoor Inn this weekend. Havent been here before and was very impressed. Absloutly fantastic food with a great choice on the menu. The staff were very friendly and our meals were delivered piping hot and quick. Would definitly recommend.
If you want to impress someone then try this place. It isn't expensive so impressing them won't mean re-mortgaging, but the experience is second to none in my opinion. It's off the beaten track in Edge, as the name suggests, but it's worth the drive. The views from the building are great and in the summer you can eat outdoors; not so suitable for this weather though, but luckily the indoors is great too. The service is fast and professional and they know the menu well enough to advise you if you find yourself stuck for a choice. The menu itself is pretty traditional, but very well cooked and the food is generally locally sourced so it tastes fresh and good quality. I'm always very impressed with everything about this place and would happily recommend it to anyone.
